Question

Were there any forces in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations besides the 15th Army Group/Allied Forces in Italy? If so, this would be useful to indicate. john k (talk) 15:12, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Blanking the page????

Dozens of editors have worked on this page since 2004 and it is a valuable treatment of a important topic. There is very little overlap in terms of text with the article on Mediterranean and Middle East Theatre--this article covers the U.S. Army's command structure, and the other one covers the military operations of a number of different countries countries, with the US playing a minor role-- much less so than Great Britain. The number of editors who has worked on the article is irrelevant. It had not been edited in about six months before it was made a redirect, and it has barely been edited over the years. The article is redundant. It covers the same scope as the Mediterranean and Middle East Theatre article. The article briefly talks about the command structure that was in place. The article is a stub at best. Ideally, the information here should be integrated into the other. There should not be two articles for everything: one covering a theater of war, and another discussion the same thing from the American point of view.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 13:07, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

Hawkeye7 you've written the whole SWPA article, and are very familiar with these arcane administrative structures.
